April Was Slow and Thats Okay
Hey guys!! Its recap time again. Before I start, thank you to everybody who still watched our stuff this month, it really does help us out.
Ok so im gonna be honest. April was a SLOW month for both of our channels. Like way slower than March.
On Zander Animations, Zander posted 2 videos and 2 shorts so far this month. Those uploads have about 1,100 views and under 30 likes so far. His top one was a short called "idk" with 897 views. His videos were "A Face Reveal..." with 43 views and "trying to beat the easiest Geometry Dash level" with 88 views. Then there was a short called "what how." with 72 views.
On my channel, Asher Situations Official, I posted 1 video and 1 short. Together they have 1,815 views and 20 likes so far. My short "W SHOT" from RIVALS did the best with 1,782 views, bro I was so happy with that shot. My video "Im done..." only has 33 views so far.
Why so slow? Honestly we were busy with school, and coming up with fresh ideas is HARD. Like you sit there and think "what should I make" and nothing comes. Sometimes you have an idea but then you realize somebody already did it way better. Thats the part of YouTube nobody talks about.
What worked: short gameplay clips with a cool moment in them, like my RIVALS shot. People like seeing one crazy moment fast. What flopped: long videos. Both of us got way less views on long videos than on shorts this month.
My advice for kids starting a channel: its okay to have a slow month. Dont quit because the numbers went down. Keep a list of ideas on paper or in your notes app so when you get one, you dont forget it. And watch your own videos back to see what you can do better.
Also real talk, if you have to pick between a video and studying for a test, pick studying every time. Your grades matter way more than views right now, and the channel will still be there after. Me and Zander both agree on that.
We are gonna try to post more next month so stay tuned. Thanks for reading all the way to the end!!
