Dandys World Looks Cute But Dont Be Fooled
Hey guys!! Thank you for clicking on this review, it really helps us out. Today I am reviewing Dandy's World, a mascot horror survival game made by BlushCrunch Studio. Up to 35 players can be in a server, and its still in Alpha, which means the game isnt finished yet.
Let me explain how it works since some of you dont know how to play. You pick a Toon, which is like a cartoon character, and every Toon has different stats and abilities. Then you and your team ride an elevator down into a place called Gardenview Center, one floor at a time.
On every floor you have to find machines and complete them. While you work on a machine you get little skill checks where you have to click at the right time. If you mess up, it makes noise and can bring the Twisteds to you. Twisteds are the scary monster versions of the Toons and they chase you around the floor. Once enough machines are done, you all run back to the elevator and go deeper. Each floor gets harder.
You earn Ichor, which is the money in the game, and use it to unlock new Toons and Trinkets. You can also collect Research on the Twisteds, which helps unlock more stuff.
What I like: its a team game, so you really have to work together. Someone distracts the Twisted while someone else finishes the machine. That teamwork is so fun with friends. The Toons all look really cool too and collecting them is addicting.
What is annoying: because its in Alpha, the game even says to expect bugs and shutdowns. Also, the game has a warning about bright and flashing lights, so if that bothers you, be careful. And sometimes randoms dont help with machines at all, which is SO frustrating.
Fun fact, the skill checks are kinda like a pop quiz. If you are ready, they are easy. If you didnt practice, you panic lol. Thats why studying hard every day matters, so when the real test shows up in school you are already prepared and your grades stay good.
Who is it for: kids who like a little bit of spooky but not too much. If you get scared really easy, maybe play with a friend first. I like horror stuff so I had fun, and I want to get Zander to try it with me next time.
87% of people who rated it gave it a thumbs up.
My score: 8/10. Cute, creepy and great with friends. Thanks for reading to the end!!
