Roblox Studio: Expectations vs Reality
So me and Asher have been working on building our OWN Roblox game in Roblox Studio and let me tell you... its SO much harder than I thought it would be. Like I had all these amazing ideas in my head — cool maps, epic boss fights, awesome effects — and then I opened Roblox Studio and was like... ok how do I make a door open lol.
The scripting part is actually really cool once you figure it out tho!! Were learning Luau (thats the programming language Roblox uses) and at first it was like reading another language. Which I mean it literally IS another language. But now were starting to get the hang of it. Asher figured out how to make a kill brick and he was SO proud of himself. Its literally just one line of code but we celebrated like we won the World Cup haha.
We cant tell you guys too much about our game yet because its still super early but I CAN say its gonna be an adventure game with puzzles and combat and some really cool secrets. Were hoping to have something playable soon and when we do its gonna be linked right here on the site!!
If you wanna try making Roblox games too honestly just go for it. Roblox Studio is free and theres tons of tutorials on YouTube. Yeah its hard at first but so was riding a bike and you figured that out right?? (unless you still cant ride a bike which is also fine no judgement)
